ESET researchers discovered a vulnerability in Wi-Fi chips. This flaw, named Kr00k and registered as CVE-2019-15126, causes vulnerable devices to use an all-zero encryption key to encrypt part of the communication, which allows an attacker to decrypt some wireless network packets. Kr00k affects devices with Wi-Fi chips by Broadcom and Cypress that haven’t yet been patched. For more details see https://www.eset.com/int/kr00k.
Our cellular routers are not affected by Kr00k because the hardware is not based on Broadcom or Cypress chipsets. Should you have more questions, please contact your Regional Support.
