Caution

  • This Router App has been tested on a router with firmware version 6.3.10. After updating the router firmware to a higher version, check whether a newer version of the Router App has also been released and update it accordingly for compatibility.

Description

The NMAP Router App allows you to perform TCP and UDP scans. You can also use it to send pings — IP datagrams that verify connectivity between two network interfaces.

To access the NMAP Router App web interface, click the Router App name on the Router Apps page of the router's web interface. The left part of the web interface contains only the Return item, which switches back to the router's web interface. The right part displays the following information:

  • Nmap module is located in /opt/nmap/bin/nmap
  • For help, type /opt/nmap/bin/nmap -h

The first line shows the location of the nmap executable, and the second shows how to display its help. Invoking help prints a list of all available parameters, most of which can be combined.
