Band Select
Warning
This Router App has been tested on a router with firmware version 6.3.10. After updating the router firmware to a higher version, check whether a newer version of the Router App has also been released and update it accordingly for compatibility.

Tips
The type of cellular module installed in the router can be found in the Mobile WAN status under Mobile Network Information.
The Band Select Router App allows you to adjust the portfolio of frequency bands that the router supports. Frequency bands are groupings of radio frequencies used by mobile networks for communication. For example, in Europe, the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz bands are commonly used, while in the USA, the 1900 MHz band is predominant. For a router to function properly in both regions, it must support the relevant frequency bands.
Web Interface
Access the Band Select Router App's web interface by clicking the Router App name on the Router Apps page of the router's web interface. The left part of the interface (menu) includes only the Return item to switch back to the router's web interface. For routers with two cellular modules, Module 1 and Module 2 items are available to manage each module separately.

Configure the Router App using the form on the right side of the web interface. The available options depend on the installed cellular module. To limit the bands, the Router App must be installed and enabled. Select the desired frequency bands, enable Band Select, and confirm with the Send button.
Configuration
To configure the Band Select Router App, click one of the available modules listed under the Configuration section in the left menu. The number of modules shown depends on the router's hardware. The available options vary based on the installed cellular module.
Before limiting bands, ensure the Router App is enabled: check Enable Band Select and click Apply. Then select the desired frequency bands and click Apply to confirm.
Once the settings are applied, the Router App may be uninstalled — the configuration remains active as previously set.
The selection table displays the available frequency bands grouped by technology (GSM, UMTS, LTE, etc.), together with their associated frequencies.
Tips
The list of displayed technologies and bands also depends on the selected network operator and the firmware version installed in the cellular module.
There are two columns of checkboxes:
- Current — shows the bands currently active on the module, as read directly from the router.
- Configured — lets you choose which frequency bands to enable. These settings take effect after enabling Band Select and clicking Apply.
In some cases, such as immediately after a module restart or a configuration change, these values may not be readable. Question marks (?) appear instead of checkboxes in such cases (see the figure in the Examples section below).
Applying new settings may cause the module to restart, temporarily preventing current values from being displayed.
